What is Luxury Vinyl?
While the first ever vinyl flooring supplies were known for their cheap feel and garish designs, the format has come along leaps and bounds over the years. This was why the term “luxury vinyl” was first coined, to differentiate new manufacturing techniques from the old. Luxury vinyl products are typically made from calcium carbonate, polyvinyl chloride and a mixture of pigments.
They have five layers in total, including two PVC backing layers, a HD photographic layer, a clear wear-level and a final polyurethane protective coat. This makes for an incredibly durable floor tile or plank that can a) emulate natural materials like wood and stone, or b) embrace its synthetic roots with a colourful modern design. Form
Featuring 0.7mm wear layers for added durability, the Form collection includes uncanny depictions of wood and natural stone. Wood emulations are embossed with natural grain finishes to add texture, and a feeling of depth of character. There are also a range of Form floors that mimic ceramics, which are ideal for contemporary design schemes in Oxfordshire homes. Signature Collection

Karndean products are often realistic emulations of natural materials like hardwood and various types of stone.
